Mayor De Blasio Pushes Pre-K Enrollment On First Day Of Sign Ups

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Mayor Bill de Blasio is cheering parents on to enroll their kids into pre-kindergarten classes.

On Sunday, New York parents began enrolling their kids in pre-K classes, WCBS 880’s Monica Miller reported.

De Blasio is hoping parents are as excited about pre-kindergarten as he is.

“The important thing is this: pre-K changes your child’s life,” the mayor said. “Full-day, high quality pre-K is the right start. It gets your child on the right track educationally. It’s free.”

Alexis Confer, with the mayor’s administration, is encouraging parents to go online to sign up.
