NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police on Thursday were searching for a suspect who slashed a man in the face in an unprovoked attack on a C Train in Brooklyn.
Around 6:15 p.m. Monday, the 19-year-old victim was sitting on an outbound C Train near the Utica Avenue station in Bedford-Stuyvesant, when the suspect walked up to him for no apparent reason and slashed him on the right side of the face, police said.
The suspect then hopped of the train, police said.
The victim was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was treated and released, police said.
The suspect was described as a dark-skinned male in his early 20s, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall. Police have released a surveillance image.
